Word of the Week: MAP TestMAP® Growth™ measures what students know and informs what they’re ready to learn next. By dynamically adjusting to each student’s performance, MAP Growth creates a personalized assessment experience that accurately measures performance—whether a student performs on, above, or below grade level. Timely, easy-to-use reports help teachers teach, students learn, and administrators lead. Students completed their second round of MAP testing on January 11th and 12th with their homeroom classes, and we will retest for the final time in May. Assessing students three times a year will give us a deeper look into student's development overtime, and allow us to track their progress. Both math and reading levels were assessed, so teachers will be able to measure growth on targeted skills and intervene where students have gaps in their knowledge. Our grade level teams will be taking a deep dive into that data and using it to drive instructions over the next few months as we make preparations for the STAAR test and look forward to next year. Your child's mentor will be the one that provides you with MAP testing growth charts and a deeper look into what their needs are.
