1:1 Mentoring is the glue that holds Connect together. Mentors support and assist students develop habits of success in a self-directed learning environment through weekly, individual coaching sessions. Each student has a personal life coach who not only serves as their teacher but their
advocate, and confidante. The mentor guides students as they set goals, create plans, and learn to make good decisions. The mentor helps students become self-directed learners and problem solvers.
Weekly mentor check-ins:
Every week, students have a 1:1 check-in with their mentor. Each meeting lasts for 10 minutes, and they are student-driven. Students discuss their proposed goals and plans for the coming week, and reflect together on the past week.
